NATIONAL HOLIDAYS IN JAPAN




In Japan they take place great variety of dates that they are very significant for the Japanese:

New Year´s Holiday
This is the party more important in Japan, you take place from December 27 up to January 04; there they accustom to pass the new  year in family



National Foundation Day
they celebrate it in February 11 in commemoration of the founding of the Japanese nation.

Spring Equinox

They celebrate it in March 21, this is a importante period in the Buddhist calendar for paying respect of the ancestors.

Constitution Day
They celebrate it in may 3 commemorates the establishment of Japan's constitution in 1947.


Boy's Day
They celebrate it in May 5, They gets used to hang the fish carp in the horns of the flags outside of the house, this represents the courage and perseverance that young boys should have in life.



Health and Sports Day
They celebrate it in  October 10 is a day to promote health and physical development; also an commemoration to the 1964 Olympics which were held in Tokyo.


Culture Day
In November 3 is the birthday of the emperor Meiji, the father of the Japan's modernization,the holiday was renamed Culture Day; the holiday is homage to Japan's growth as a nation.

Children's Day
In November 15, the 7, 5 and 3 years old children are celebrated throughout Japan

Labour And Thanksgiving Day
November 23 is a day to appreciate and thank all those who ensure the country's economic prosperity by their daily work.. Originally a thanksgiving Shinto ritual at the end of rice harvests.

Emperor's Birthday
December 23 is the birthday of the Emperor
